Grahams driveway tips

To build a durable block brick driveway, focus on solid ground preparation, proper drainage, and tight edge restraints. Without these, the bricks will shift, sink, or allow weeds to grow.

Preparation & Planning

  • Measure accurately: Decide the size and layout of your driveway, including curves or borders.

  • Choose the right blocks: Concrete, clay, or natural stone blocks are common. Concrete is affordable and durable, while clay and stone offer a more premium look.

  • Plan drainage: Driveways must slope slightly (about 1:60) away from the house to prevent water pooling.
